We are a sister site of Western Weyr and Hold and as such share the same canon.

Meanwhile at Southern Weyr a young Gold named Useth had just flown her first mating flight. Useth was attacked by an angry girl whose Green had died at the same hatching that Useth Impressed her rider Rina at. The attack carried with it infection by an unknown substance, and so Useth and those who had been in direct contact with her following the attack went into quarantine at the new Weyr of Crescent Cove located in the western part of the Southern continent.

Since then Useth has laid 20 eggs, all of which she has deemed alive, and so the quarantine has been lifted. However, each and every egg bears a dark marking on it in some way. The markings appearing in colors ranging from black, to a deep red, to a dark purple. Each mark varied at least a bit in shape some were a single slash like a cut, others were multiple slashes like that of a beast, others looked like star-bursts, smudges, swirls, or some other odd shape. Now the job that was put off when Useth first was attacked has begun and Candidates are needed for the hatching of these strange eggs.


We’re a brand new Weyr with nearly every Weyr and hold position open. We also are in need of EVERY dragon color to be played as transfers from other Weyrs:
-Lord Holder of Crescent Cove Hold
-Holders of two minor holds on the island
-Transfer Queenrider tryouts
-Gold and Grey firelizard tryouts
-Open applications for all other dragon colors (some site rank restrictions apply)
-Open applications for various firelizard, gemtail, and glider colors
-Ability to make at least one extra character if they are a Candidate. (hatching will occur when we obtain enough Candidates)
-Many other positions open throughout the Weyr


We are a sister site of Western Weyr and Hold so any characters from either site may be played on the other much as an NPC would be. Events from one site are open to characters from another which means your Crescent character may attend a Gather, Hatching, or other event at Western! Western's owner Zen has also allowed our site a small number of starting Gemtails to be given out on a first come first serve basis via application.

Other than the differences noted above concerning the markings on the shells, not much is known about what are already being referred to as 'marked dragons'. However, the Candidates that have already been found for the clutch are buzzing with excitement about them.

We have our own Impressible critter native to the island known as a Glider (see picture above). Gliders are half mammal, half reptile but not much else is known about them. Some Gliders are available to starting characters.
