A dark haired girl with sun-touched highlights wandered into the main hall. Her bare feet practically danced over the floor as she traveled. She wore a loose simple tunic as well as some light pants. Making her way over to the serving area she grabbed a plate as one of the kitchen workers eyed her bare feet with disdain.
"Now Nadhari I know I've spoken to you about that."
Nadhari didn't even look up as she ladled porridge into a bowl and sprinkled some berries into it, "And I've told you that I have no intention of handling food or dishes with my feet. Besides, it's no more or less sanitary than boots, and it's more comfortable." She grabbed up an extra handful of berries, tossing them into a separate bowl.
The worker sighed, "What will guests think though? They'll think we're a bunch of savages to traipse around shoeless!"
"Well when we have guests I'll put on shoes or make myself scarce, until then I shall be comfortable," she deftly balanced both bowls on one arm as she poured a cup of water, lifting it in a mock toast towards the kitchen worker, "Until next time Jenna?"
Without waiting for a response she made her way to an empty table, setting down the cup before removing the bowl of berries from the other arm and sitting down with both bowls well in hand. From within her hair a white furred creature glided down to the table and 'lifted' a berry from the bowl towards her waiting paws telekinetically. Nadhari laughed and set the bowl down, "Impatient are we?" She spooned some sweetener into the porridge and took a bite as she glanced around the hall. Most of the weyrfolk were probably still recovering from the Gather that had come to a close last night. With that in mind, it was no surprise that the hall was mostly empty.
