Appearance:
Small in size (about 5'4" 100 lbs) she shows the sheltered life that she has lead. Before impressing Useth she was rarely counted or relied on for anything and therefor has little in the way of muscle. Her pale skin shows freckles from being under the Southern sun for so long, but seems to be physically incapable of tanning at all. Her red hair curls loosely around her face, brightened by the sunlight. Her green eyes seem to almost sparkle with some inner joy constantly.

Rina normally wears lightweight dresses that help her keep cool in the heat of the Southern continent. Her hair is often kept pulled back or braided out of the way.

Skills
-Singing: Rina has a crystal clear voice that soothes the soul. Not really suited for most up-beat songs, but even her working tunes tend to stop people in their tracks.
-Mentally Calming (Ability): She can settle even the most raging of tempers much easier than most. She doesn't seem to realize when she does this.

Basic Personality:
Rina aims to please, and to make as many people pleased as possible. She excels at the diplomacy required of a Weyrwoman, but doesn't wish to stay at Crescent any longer than necessary in order to give her sister her space back.

People tend to want to protect Rina, so in most areas other than diplomacy she is at a loss for what to do. She has gotten a bit better at standing on her own since Impressing Useth, but she still has a lot to learn.

Strengths (You can have more but you should describe each.)

• Cool-headed: It is very difficult to get Rina riled up. Things that would normally make one loose control are only mildly irritating for her.
  
• Diplomatic: She has a way of making those around her get along, or at least outwardly act like the riders they are and not children.
  
• Supportive: No matter how silly everyone else thinks your idea is, Rina will always support you so long as she doesn't think anyone will be hurt by it.
  
• Generous: If it is within her power to grant it, she will try to provide anything she can to those in need.
  
• Kind: She is one of those people that it's hard to talk bad about due to the fact that she is genuinely kind to everyone no matter their rank.
  
• Clever: She can come up with solutions to difficult problems at the drop of a hat. Even when most people are still stunned by the problem itself.
  

Faults (same as strengths)

• Suffers in silence: She doesn't share anything that's bothering her with anyone other than Useth and possibly Nadhari.
  
• Worry wort: She tends to worry about things too much, usually to the point of a lack of sleep.
  
• Self-sacrificing: Not in the sense of her life (she does have Useth to worry about after all) but she often takes on far too much. If it needs to be done she doesn't have a problem with working herself to exhaustion to make sure it is done.
  
• Underestimated: No one thought she would make a Queenrider. Everyone (including her) thought her pretty voice would land her a nice husband and some kids. She tends to seem weak.
  
• Sheltered: For some reason people take one look at Rina and want to protect her from everything. So she really hasn't had to cope with too many difficult problems.
  
• Trusting: She tends to take people at their face value, probably how she didn't see the attack on Useth coming at all.
  

History:
From birth Rina has been the apple of her parent's eye. Growing up she has always been told how pretty she was, how well she sang, what a good child she was, and various other praises that made her feel altogether special. When her sister Nadhari was born Rina made it her goal in life to be a big sister worth looking up to. Perhaps she did her job a bit too well.

In Rina's attempt to be a good big sister she ended up casting a long shadow on Nadhari, who instead grew up strong and protective of Rina and their other siblings. Rina still feels to this day that Nadhari should have been able to be doted on instead of feeling like she had to be strong for everyone else, so Nadhari can get away with almost anything where Rina is concerned.

At age 16 she was Searched and stood on the sands for multiple Hatchings until she Impressed Useth. Useth was hatched during the same Hatching where Lirin's Green died just out of the shell, and so Useth became the target of Lirin's madness.

Were Rina less trusting she might have seen Lirin's actions coming when she returned to Southern Weyr. As it was, she was blindsided by the girl's attempt at poisoning her Dragon. It was Rina's suggestion that brought Useth along with any Dragon who had been around the Gold after her contamination, to Crescent Cove. Now Rina simply waits for Useth's clutch to hatch and for her replacement to arrive.
