Vaioa Weyr is a desert triumvirate of Hold, Weyr, and Mine. The three have profited over the last 250 Threadfree years, but now the Interval is at an end and while its dragonriders rise to protect Pern from their ancient foe, the Wher Troops ride out to wage war with organized bandit groups, set to pillage the Weyr while its dragonriders are distracted.
What we have to offer:
- Vaioa Weyr is extremely active and we've been consistently so for two years now.
- An upcoming dragon hatching and wher run.
- Active wher plots and useful whers. Our wher troops patrol the desert for bandits, repel attacks, scout for wild nests, and guard Vaioa's precious mines. We've also got three distinct uncanon wher colors that all serve specific purposes.
- A friendly and supportive staff and member base more than willing to help get you on your feet and immersed into our site.
- A marks and store system that allows you to be rewarded for activity with the chance to buy any color of dragon (excluding gold), metallic fire lizards, stand impressions, and more. There's also a thriving member-run marketplace with some of the most talented artists in the fandom offering their services.
- Non-Sexuality based Impression and freedom from the normal squicky aspects of the fandom. Vaioa is a "safe zone" with no force-caught flights and no triggering material. We demonstrate that it is possible to have some darker plots without hurting our memberbase.
- Candidate Questionaires! Help the admins understand just what you're looking for with your candidates. These help Vaioa's staff to create a dragon or wher that is perfect for you by taking into account your specific preferences.
- Active threadfall seasons and chances to develop your characters into ranking roles - Weyrleaders are voted into power by the members and change every six months or so. Think you've got what it takes?
