(some are probably obvious but here it is anyway)
D= Dragon
FL= Firelizard
Ge= Gemtail
Gl= Glider
R/S/E= Ruby/Emerald/Sapphire
Rank: Obvious
Post #: How many posts you need for that rank
Characters: Your HUMAN character limit. This does not mean you NEED this number, just that you are allowed them if you show you can handle all of them. NPCs and Western riders do not count towards this number.
FL/Ge/Gl (total): How many firelizards, gemtails, and gliders you may have (and then the total of all of them). Example: at Dragonrider rank you are allowed 5 total, so you could have 3 firelizards, 1 gemtail, and 1 glider for a total of 5 special pets.
->This number is an across the board total for all characters you control. You don't HAVE to have this amount, it is just a limit.
Metallic FL/D: Total number of metallic firelizards AND Dragons allowed on all characters.
->Just because the limit doesn't extend to the other colors doesn't mean that all of your other Dragons/firelizards should be Blacks and Browns.
Clutching FL/D: Total number of clutching firelizards AND Dragons allowed on all characters.
->Gemtails and Gliders are not included in this due to the fact that even the lower ranking colors clutch. Moon Gliders and Diamond Gemtails will be severely limited on their own anyway and there should be more Gold/Grey firelizards than there are Moons and Diamonds combined.
Highest D Color: Highest ranking Dragon color that you may have on any of your characters.
Highest FL Color: Highest ranking firelizard color that you may have on any of your characters.
Highest Ge Color: Highest ranking gemtail color that you may have on any of your characters.
Highest Gl Color: Highest ranking glider color that you may have on any of your characters.
Some other notes:
-PLEASE NOTE: for the time being (until I take this down) you are allowed one character more than your effective rank allows so long as at least one character is a Candidate.
-Active members of Red River and previously active members of Western may consider their rank effectively one higher on Crescent. This essentially because they have already proven themselves a bit more active than your basic egg so they are rewarded as such.
-Zen has said she only wants maybe one other Diamond Gemtail besides her own on the site and I agree with her on this. So just because your rank allows one, doesn't mean you get one by default.
-Only 1 Moon and 1 Night glider allowed per player for all characters, and only when they're open for creation/impression.
-These numbers are meant for creation, not Impression or try-outs. However, those you Impress/try out for still count towards your numbers in the long run. Also just because you can have a Bronze doesn't mean you can make one without permission or if it isn't on the needs page. Ask first please!
-These numbers are more of a guideline. Even if you don't have the proper rank for it you could possibly Impress a Dragon/critter of a higher rank. Obviously we prefer to have the higher colors given to those who are more active but that is not always the rule if you show promise.
-The character needs page ( crescentcoveweyr.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=character&action=display&thread=17 ) and in game impressions trump this page always. Especially with the Weyr being brand-new. Once it is more established post counts will mean more, but even so this chart is the rule unless otherwise stated by me.
-Tryouts are another loophole. I will still take into account what you have already in my final decision but I will not bar anyone from trying out regardless of rank or what you already have on other characters.
-Players who are ACTIVE on Western are considered to be almost of a "plus" version of their effective rank. They can treat their post counts from both sites as if they were added together and if that number would put them at the next rank then they may act as if that is their rank (max addition of 1 rank). Example: if you have 20 posts here and 40 post on Western you are treated as if you were of Candidate rank. However, if you have 20 posts here and 80 on Western you are still treated as if you were of Candidate rank even though that would put your count at 100.
Note: This rule is for Crescent's site only, Zen is responsible for any rules regarding Western's ranking system
