History:
N’lir was born under the name of Nalir down in Southern Weyr. He was born just a few seconds before his brother Nital. The two brothers were raised with the other Weyrbrats since their mother worked mostly in the kitchens and barely had any time for them. Once Nalir was 12 turns of age, his mother taught both his brother and him how to cook. She also taught them many tricks to making food taste wonderful. They began to help in the kitchens for a few turns until they were both searched at the same time.
Southern Weyr had many candidates standing at the same time, which made Nalir doubtful to even impress. To the surprise of many both his bother and himself were the first to impress from the small clutch. Nalir now named N’lir impressed Green Rakhinith. He went through Weyrling training as happy as can be, and when his dragon showed signs of being a good search dragon he started to do searches to find hopeful candidates for any clutches.
As time went on he was there for the event in which Lirin had lost her lifetime mate in just a few seconds. He felt sorry for the girl especially since he did not wish to loose his own lifetime mate. He didn’t want to know how it felt like. When the girl had disappeared, he was one of the people to go out looking for her. But he quickly gave up the search himself when there seemed to be no sign on the girl anywhere.
Turns flew on and N’lir helped in the kitchens when he could to help pass the time until he must go search for more candidates. The day Lirin came back he was shocked to see the girl alive, he himself tried to see what was in her bag but she refused to let anyone see.
A short amount of time passed when N’lir heard the news of what had happened. In disbelief he watched as the dragons transferred to their new Weyr in case of a risk of infection. During the time that he waited for news of what had happened to the riders he took up cooking again since there was no clutch in the sands for Rakhinith and him to go search out possible candidates.
Once news came of the Weyr deciding to open up their doors with a clutch in the sands N’lir was the first to go. After all they did need a search rider.
